Travel information

The conference will be hosted at Querétaro, capital of the State of Querétaro, located at about 136 miles from Mexico City and at about 3 hours by bus/car. The city's full name is "Santiago de Queretaro", and although it's spelled out fully on the doors of every taxi in the city, nobody uses the full name in normal conversation.

Conference Venue: Hotel Misión Juriquilla. Address: Boulevard Villas del Mesón #56, Juriquilla, ZIP: 76230 Querétaro, QRO, Phone: +52 442 234 0000

In order to reach Querétaro, there are many options, among which we recommend:

By plane
Aeropuerto International Ciudad de México (MEX)

Upon arrival, you can take a bus to the Bus Station in Querétaro within the airport facilities as follows:

Airport Terminal 1. The bus terminal in Terminal 1 is located near the vehicle ramp that leads to the international area. There you can find a variety of services: VIP lounges, Internet, waiting, reading and meeting rooms. The terminal also has a food court, shopping, souvenirs and currency exchange services. The bus company that you should make the reservation with is “Autobuses Primera Plus”.

There are itineraries from the Airport to Querétaro from 1:20 AM until 23:50 PM, every hour or half-hour. Return to the airport from Querétaro is available from 00:15 AM until 23:30 PM.

Airport Terminal 2. Buses depart from AICM Terminal 2 near gate D, between entrance 4 and the domestic arrivals exit point. Here you can find waiting rooms and a food court. The bus company that you should make the reservation with is “Autobuses Primera Plus”.

There are itineraries from the Airport to Querétaro from 1:00 AM until 23:30 PM, every hour or half-hour. Return to the airport from Querétaro is available from 00:15 AM until 23:30 PM.

For time tables, please consult this page.

You can reserve your itinerary until one month before your departure in the following url (note that you could buy your ticket on-site, but then your place in the next bus may not be guaranteed):

Upon arrival to Querétaro Bus Station, there are many local taxis (you buy the tickets within the bus terminal). You can also hail Uber and other ride-sharing services. All options are reliable and safe.

By plane
Querétaro International Airport (QRO)

The City of Querétaro is served by Querétaro International Airport (QRO) which is a brand new international airport. There are direct daily flights to Monterrey, Cancun, and Tijuana in addition to Houston , Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago-Midway and Los Angeles in the US. Several new routes are likely to be open in the coming months. Domestic flights tend to be expensive and in some cases it may be more convenient to fly into Mexico City and then take a bus there.

By bus

There are many buses that go to Querétaro from major cities, such as Mexico City or Guadalajara. Buses are normally inexpensive. First class buses often offer movies and can be very comfortable.

Getting around
Taxis will take you anywhere in town for a fare from $50 pesos up to $150 (to the airport $250). Taxis do not have meters. Fares are established by the government and are determined by zone of pick up and zone of drop off. Uber and other ride sharing companies are also readily available in the metropolitan area and are also a very convenient way of getting around the city.
