The Center for Engineering and Industrial Development, CIDESI, was founded on March 9th, 1984. It belongs to the System of Centers of the National Council of Science and Technology.
The Institutional Mission is: to generate value in those companies that are oriented towards transformation, contributing to enhance their competitiveness by means of the development and application of knowledge both relevant and pertinent, with highly qualified personnel and world class standards.
CIDESI is certified to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard.
It has been distinguished with the 2003 National Technology Award and the 2004 State Export Award of the State of Querétaro.
It is a supplier of BOMBARDIER, an Alliance Member of National Instruments and the Texas Instruments Design Center.
CIDESI has effective strategic alliances in research and development, as well as in the education of human capital, with national institutions such as: Institute of Astronomy of the National Autonomous University of México, the Autonomous University of Querétaro and the National Center of Metrology, and international institutions such as: The Japan International Cooperation Agency, the University of Applied Sciences of Aachen of Germany, and the Universities of Lehigh, Texas A&M and the Anderson School of Management from the United States, among others.
It contributes to the development of the industrial sector of our country, in both its venues located in the State of Querétaro and in Nuevo Leon, at the Research and Technological Innovation Park of Monterrey; it also has laboratories in San Luis Potosi, and laboratories in situ in major companies in the country.
