The forty-seventh CALPHAD International Conference will be held in Juriquilla, México from May 27 to June 2, 2018. Juriquilla is a small, colonial village that has recently been incorporated into the city of Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro, México. It was founded as an hacienda in the 18th century, with the village of Juriquilla being founded around it. Now, the hacienda has been transformed into a five stars hotel (current conference venue) and the neighborhood around it has been developed as a residential and touristic area.

The International CALPHAD Conference was first held in 1973. Since then, it provides to scientists and students with an interest in thermodynamics of materials an opportunity to meet, present and discuss their work in a friendly atmosphere.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
– Ab-initio (first-principles) Predictions
– Thermodynamic Modeling
– CALPHAD Assessments and Database Development
– Modeling of Diffusion and Phase Transformations
– Software Development
– Experimental Phase Equilibria, Thermodynamics and Kinetics
– CALPHAD Applications in Materials Design, Production, Use, Recycling, Disposal
– CALPHAD Applications in industrial processes (energy production, joining and soldering)
